Pentyrch Rangers 1 V 6 Butetown
The Games against
Butetown are always tough, but with the recruitment of six of last season's
double winning St Albans team, Pentyrch knew today's match was going to be
even tougher. And so it proved. Last season, Butetown invariably
scored plenty of goals, but also conceded plenty. This season, ex-Buns
Tyrone Lewis, Joe Evans and Arron Owen have added defensive skill and
know-how to the Butetown defence. Not only are they difficult to break
down, they are adept at launching counter attacks. And with Butetown
having always had plenty of pace in their attack they were very difficult to
contain.
In the second half, when
Butetown scored within two minutes of the restart and Pentyrch heads went
down. With Butetown now playing with confidence they added to their
tally, scoring further goals in the 55th and 77th minute.
